SUNBURN
 
What to look for: Lobster-red skin that is hot to the touch. No tan is safe. but sunburned skin needs. Immediate attention. Apply aloe vera concentrate before as a guard against blistering and as a healer and pain elimination of the burn.
What’s happening: Your skin, quite literally, is being cooked.
What to do:
1. If it’s blistering and you have major Swelling, and pain. see a doctor.
2. Take ibuprofen; chill aloe-Vera in the fridge and apply to cool and soothe the skin.
 
How to prevent:

1. Try using Sun. Guard, a laundry additive that makes clothing more UV protective.
2. Use sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 and preferably 30 or higher. Reapply every couple of hours.

3. Keep a can of spray sunscreen in your golf or tennis bag. 

4. Wear a big hat and. if you can stand it, long sleeves.

Even maternity wear is not at all what they used to be. In the past women wore either a skirt or trousers, which was adjustable with a smock over the top or a dress in the style of a smock. The idea being to cover the “bump” Well this is not the case anymore, maternity clothes these days don’t consider loose clothes at all. I had deep crow’s feet and I just hated them. I tried my hardest not to smile so they would not appear any deeper than it actually was. One of my favorite all natural skin care regiments is to soak for twenty minutes in Epsom salts and warm water. The Epsom salts helps to draw out any toxins that are in the skin.

We all have toxins at different levels in our skin from the pollutions that we face on a daily basis in the air and in the environment.

The soaking also helps relax muscles. I like to add natural lavender to the water also to fill the room with the relaxing fragrance. Once you are done soaking your skin is very receptive to what ever you put on it.

After a nice soaking I like to put on an all natural skin care product with aloe in it that helps sooth the skin even more.

My hubby shaves his head every few days and one of his pet peeves was the fact that most of the shaving foams out there would irritate his skin.
