It’s a cold hard fact that most of us when we start getting into our late 40’s begin to experience problems never before experienced. Not so much dangerous health issues but more it is a time when for the first time we realise we just can’t do the things we used to do because we’re getting older. I got an invite to go to a party in Roman Costumes and all that I thought of was the old days when toga parties were the go. People would just wrap the sheet around them and that was the outfit. Women had to be a little more creative and wore gold belts and dark eye makeup to copy the look of the Egyptians.

In a panic I wondered what on earth I was going to wear, I needn’t of worried as there are tones of beautifully made costumes online. The look can be quiet different and varied. Or I thought I could don the more traditional look teamed with the gold headdress.

When I ordered the senator costume which is looks like a Caesar look costume but little more fancy with the trims that embellishes the sides. To surprise my partner I had it delivered and asked him to go and slip it on. I couldn’t believe how good he looked, and he was smiling from ear to ear when he entered the room.

When we entered the party we didn’t know at the time but there was a prize for the best costumes on the night …and guess what? We took out the prize.
