Well, before I found the most simple design crocheted baby blankets that I could. Most people says that, crocheting is easy, but I have never tried anything that I found more personally challenging. It was hard to keep focused, stitch after stitch. It was hard to count the stitches without losing track. It was hard to get all the loops even, and it was hard to see the project through from beginning to end. The first attempts at making crocheted baby blankets failed, and I was almost ready to give up when I finally started to make some progress. I almost give all my attention to the crocheted baby blankets, turning off the TV and music and focusing intently on the work. My wife told me that this was a mistake. When she crocheted baby blankets, she liked to have the TV on, or at least have some friends over. Although it seems counterintuitive to me, she explained the reason it works better.

Collecting guns is something you need a little bit of money for, and up until my mid-20s I really was pretty broke most of the time. The only gun I had was a little pistol for self-defense. Here’s some interesting Chatty Cathy trivia you may have not been aware of, Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb of the Brady Bunch were in some of the original black and white TV commercials, and Maureen McCormick was the voice of the new Chatty Cathy dolls that were reissued in 1970. The original voice circa 1959 is June Foray, who also did the voice of Rocket J. Squirrel in the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. The antique German grandfather clocks began to be seen around the 1600s throughout Germany. The way in which it was built was a direct innovation of Galileo. He saw problems with the older ways of telling time, such as through the sun dials, as it did not align with specific needs. He worked on creating a contraption that combined a gravitational pull from the pendulum to move the weight every second. He combined this with keys that were used in order to continue winding the weights so that they could keep pulling the pendulum to tell time.

I recently became aware of UglyDolls and I have to admit that once you start reading about them at the UglyDoll website it can become quite addicting.  I think it has to do with how each doll has it’s own distinctive personality.  Here are a couple of doll descriptions that I think are cute.

UglyDoll Abima is characterized as an adventurous and high octane doll.  He’s quite frenetic and tends to knock things over.  Unfortunately, what he knocks over are the more pricey items.  Abima is protector although he’s afraid of the dark!  Abima is related to the UglyDoll Wage, who is his cousin.

Babo the UglyDoll is a lovable protector too, even though some say that he is not the brightest of the Ugly  Dolls.  He is just a lovable kind of fellow and a friend to all. Mischievous and curious, Babo could do better with some more parenting.  One of the more naughtly UglyDolls, Babo has some level of independence although you might to best not to leave the cookies and cash around.
