I do some writing for our school newspaper. It’s a fairly large school, so it’s a pretty large paper, reaching hundreds of students each week. This year, one of my first assignments is to write on homecoming dresses. I’m supposed to interview a bunch of the girls in school and see what they are planning to wear and whether they have purchased anything yet. Then I’m supposed to give my fashion predictions for the fall. Sounds easy enough, especially since one of the girls I interviewed showed me the article, “Fashionable Short Homecoming Dresses.” Now that I’ve read it, writing this article should be easy.

My boyfriend Jason and I are very different. He a casual dresser, preferring jeans and youth group shirts. I dress as gothic as possible and prefer anything black. He has this optimistic personality that sometimes is impossible to be around. I am a realist. If people are dying in the world and there are mass diseases spreading, I don’t consider it a problem to bring them up in an everyday conversation. He likes classical music. I listen to emo rock and screamo. You get the picture.

When my sister decided to start shopping for her homecoming dress early, we thought she was crazy. It was only July, and Homecoming wasn’t until the end of September! But she was insistent. She started searching online for Faviana dresses and other inexpensive designer dresses. She said that she read the article, “Choosing an Exceptional Homecoming Dress,” and knew exactly what to look for. Well, she found something that she loved, and she purchased it immediately.
