I have included some helpful information that I found through trial and error when it comes to getting barbequing right the first time. Firstly, before you begin cooking, spray your cooking area with a non-stick cooking spray. Doing this will prevent your meat from sticking when you are turning or removing it. If you forget to do this your meat will stick and tear, and your meat may dry out.

A bid no no is to never place food on the grill until it is the right temperature. The fluctuation in temperatures will cause your food to dry and or burn. If you are using a charcoal grill, ensure that the coals are completely gray colour before putting the meat on the grill.

Man has been hunting animals such as deer and buffalo for the purposes of food, clothing and shelter for a very long time. Hunting actually predates the civilized world as we know it today and there are many archaeological discoveries that confirm that hunting history goes back a long ways.

An Asian spearhead has been carbon dated as being over 16,000 years old and there is some evidence that we used larger game as food as much as 2 million years ago. That doesn’t seem likely to me but I suppose it’s not impossible. Archaeologists think it’s the case, tho.

The most likely weapons first used were probably rocks thrown to kill small game with hunting spears coming soon after. Easy to sharpen a long piece of wood and make the point. Also a very effective close in weapon that could bring down large animals.

Bear hunting is becoming a controversial sport and this article is what I consider to be a kind of biased view of bear hunting. OTOH going to the local bakery and getting some of yesterdays donuts and pastries to bait bears with isn’t exactly a good image either. Personally I’d like to see that kind of bear baiting banned.

IMO if you’re going to hunt bears for the thrill of it then get all the thrills you can. Don’t sit 50-100 yards away and shoot some bear eating yesterdays donuts. Be a man, go into the bears domain and hunt for him there. Yeah, I know why a lot of people don’t do that but choose to shoot donut bears instead. Fear, plain and simple. They want to brag they killed a bear but they don’t want to be in danger doing it. Sheesh, man up, go hunt Mr. Bear where he lives and take your chances. Some days you eat the bear but one day the bear will eat you. That’s enough to make donut bear shooters out of most guys.

This is pretty much a no brainer but first you need to figure out what you want to do with your boat. Obviously the primary purpose will be fishing but what kind of fishing. Obviously if you are only going to be trolling you need a different setup than if you are going to always be anchoring and sitting. Even fishing boats have dfferent purposes.

If you want to be a tournament fisherman, which can be quite exciting even in small local tournaments, you should consider a boat with a motor no less than 150 HP and probably shorter than 19 feet. For those of you who plan to fish on deeper water regularly you might find that a 200 HP motor and a boat at least 20 feet long or more will be ideal.

If you don’t plan on doing any tournament fishing but instead want to go after fish like bass, walleyes or crappies you’ll want a smaller boat. Perhaps in the 17-18 foot range with a minimum of 115 HP for the motor. With that boat you can enjoy it on lakes or rivers.

Choosing the motor or system to propel your boat is one of the more important things you will do. Motors weigh a lot and the horsepower will have a lot to do with how happy you are with your boat. If you don’t get a big enough motor it will work twice as hard and your boat performance will be poor.

There are a few different types of motors you can buy. First is an outboard which is very popular on smaller boats and fishing boats. These motors while still heavy are the lightest, have tons of power and are very quiet. They are usually mounted on the transom with bolts or brackets.

Outboards will swivel for easy steering as the prop pushes the stern of the boat. They come in many different sizes from 5 HP to 300 HP and the horsepower will affect how much fuel you use. Just like cars, the smaller the motor the better the mileage. and that’s why choosing the right motor for your boat is so important.

Sometimes it’s easy to lose your way in an unfamiliar wood. Carrying a compass and maps of the general area that you will be hunting in can help in the event that you get lost. That’s one of the basic hunter survival tips and most people ignore it.

Carry a flashlight with extra batteries in case you get caught out after dark. There are also flashlights on the market now that operate by just a shake, eliminating the need for batteries.

Matches in a waterproof case are essential and a sharp knife is good to have as well. A traditional Bowie or a Swiss Army knife both serves the purpose.

Some granola, candy bars, or dried fruit are a good idea to bring along if you are not skilled at finding food in the wild. Never eat any plants or berries unless you are familiar with what types are poisonous. If you are unsure of the safety of a plant or its fruit, don’t eat it. Risking an illness while stranded in the wild is not preferable to an empty stomach.

The nature friendly hunter’s motto is: Leave the woods the same as when you came or better. Well, minus an animal or two of course. If you are going to be camping overnight, try to disturb as little of the environment as possible. It’s what a good nature friendly hunter would do.

Don’t clear brush unnecessarily. Try to envision your trip as an overnight stay at someone’s home. You are a guest in the habitat of many animals and some you aren’t even aware of.

Always bury your campfire to ensure that it will not reignite and cause a full-blown blaze in the wilderness. Check your fire several times before leaving the area.

Forest fires can be devastating to natural areas for years afterwards. If left to spread out of control, a forest fire not only endangers the lives of animals but the lives of citizens and firefighters as well.

The Chassis Bones from All Terrain Research sleeve the main frame tubes of the rear of the RZR’s chassis, greatly strengthening a known weak point. We think this is relatively inexpensive insurance if you like to ride your RZR hard. The lower frame tubes are exposed and easy to dent. The ATR Chassis Bones can also be used to get tweaked RZR chassis back to spec. We have managed to straighten back out badly dented lower tubes by heating them up with a torch and hammering the sleeves into place. The Chasssis bones require no welding for install with ATR’s unique machined end piece design. Groves are cut into the end of the machined tube so that when you torque the machine screws in the end of the tube spreads out firmly clamping itself inside the factory frame tube. There is nothing better in the summer than sitting out in the sun. Setting out your beach chair by the ocean, sipping cool drinks, and reading a book under an umbrella are some of the greatest pleasures that summer has to offer. As we all know beach chairs are much more comfortable than lying on a beach towel, and they keep the sand out of your picnic supplies and bathing suit. One of the great advantages about a beach chair is that you can use it at home as well as at the beach. This summer, in fact, my girlfriend and I have started a new tradition. You see, we originally bought beach chairs to take out to the seashore. It is, however, about two hours drive to get to the ocean – something that is a little overwhelming for your average Sunday outing.
We try to go at least once or twice a month, but on the weekends when we can’t, we still like to enjoy the sun. We simply set up a beach chair in my backyard, lie out with a good book, and enjoy soaking up some rays. To be honest, although there is no ocean nearby, I enjoy it almost as much just glad being in the backyard. We have a nice little courtyard, filled with flowers and vegetables. Hummingbirds flutter by every once in a while, and butterflies are also frequent visitors to the garden.

As an outdoor guy myself, I prefer archery over many past times. Sure you could pop into Wal-Mart or K-Mart for some aluminium arrows or hunting supplies, but this wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. However, I must have the finest archery equipment in order to fully enjoy the recreational sport/hobby. 

  

When you are looking for good archery equipment, you do have to think about safety if you have children. They don’t always understand that archery equipment items are not only for fun but that they can also be very dangerous. As with guns, keep them up and locked. 

  

You should always have a safe place to keep these things that are far away from wandering hands and interested children.

Many camping trips have been ruined by bad weather, and while it may not last the entire trip, even a few hours being cooped up in a tent can cause tempers to grow short. Be sure to have a few games and maybe some cards to help pass time while waiting for the sun to shine and the sky to clear. What to look for: Lobster-red skin that is hot to the touch. No tan is safe. but sunburned skin needs. Immediate attention. Apply aloe vera concentrate before as a guard against blistering and as a healer and pain elimination of the burn.
What’s happening: Your skin, quite literally, is being cooked.
What to do:
1. If it’s blistering and you have major Swelling, and pain. see a doctor.
2. Take ibuprofen; chill aloe-Vera in the fridge and apply to cool and soothe the skin.
 
How to prevent:

1. Try using Sun. Guard, a laundry additive that makes clothing more UV protective.
2. Use sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 and preferably 30 or higher. Reapply every couple of hours.

3. Keep a can of spray sunscreen in your golf or tennis bag. 

4. Wear a big hat and. if you can stand it, long sleeves.

St Louis Missouri tourism revolves around shopping. Almost every large venue has had a shopping center or mall built close by. And let me tell you, these are not small ma and pa operations. Of course each attraction has souvenirs for sale at their place of business, but ladies, if your husband want to go see a Rams game you go right along with him. While he is off watching his game you can go to the close by mall and spend the entire day shopping. There are several specialty shops the sell items that are hard to find anywhere else. Being a male I never knew a place like Bath and Body could survive on selling just lotions and oils to the female public. Now I can understand the places that just sell lingerie. Every woman enjoys feeling and looking beautiful and sexy and men enjoy having their special someone looking good. There are those stores for the husband too, you know the ones that sell nothing but things for hunting and fishing and the like. You can see men shopping for hours in a place like that. Don’t forget the stores that are for kids, places like Build a Bear where a child can design and create their own teddy bear.

I did not think that we would be able to afford a rental beach house that year. You see, it had been a difficult year for us. I had had major surgery that was unexpected. I have had appendicitis with complications, and it had cost thousands of dollars. Renting beach houses has been a yearly family tradition for some time, but it looked like we would have to skip it this year.

When I told my family, they were disappointed but resigned. Everyone was resigned to not having a rental beach house, that is, but my youngest daughter. She loved rental beach houses, having a passion for swimming from the time she was two years old.
