Here’s a fact;Â Funny answer phone messages work like a charm. By funny, that doesn’t mean you have to record a favorite joke or anything as daft as that, but just something a bit light hearted and silly should do the trick. Most importantly it must be you. After all, when someone calls you, and they get greeted by the formal prerecorded voice of an unknown person, it doesn’t exactly encourage them to open up. If you call Bob, and it’s Bob’s chirpy voice that invites you to leave a message, then it’s much easier to respond to it. If you call Bob and he says something that makes you laugh, or at the very least smile to yourself, then not only will you leave your message, but you will want to leave your message. We live a world where we shop for gadgets and then fail to use those products to their full potential (whatever they area), so getting your money’s worth out of your home appliances should be a must. It’s no good having the latest all singing all dancing multifunction camera if all you do mid click it in auto. Just as there’s little point in having an answering machine that has no one leaving you messages on.
