Canon IXUS 110 IS review and ratings
The Canon IXUS 110 IS is one of the best pocket digital cameras around. Perhaps not surprisingly it is also one of the more expensive. So what do you get for your money?
When it comes to the design of the camera Canon has added some curves to give the IXUS 110 IS a more rounded look than the majority of digital cameras have. This helps to give it a more stylish look. On the back of the camera Canon has also reduced the number of buttons and dials to a minimum. This helps to add to an already sleek look. There is one dial and this is used to scroll through menu sections. At the tip of each of the four points on the dial is access to a commonly used feature such as flash settings, macro mode and the self timer.
Features include the ability to shoot high definition movies, image stabilisation and a 2.8 inch LCD screen. The screen can be used in a 16:9 aspect ratio. This is the same as a widescreen television and can help you frame widescreen movies.
Other cameras at the top end of the pocket sized market include the
Sony Cybershot DSC T90. This is similar to the IXUS 110 IS in that it has a distinctive, highly styled look, but the fact it has a touch controlled LCD screen means it also offers something different for you to think about when comparing these two cameras.
