“SUNBURN: WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT”
SUNBURN
What to look for: Lobster-red skin that is hot to the touch. No tan is safe. but sunburned skin needs. Immediate attention. Apply aloe vera concentrate before as a guard against blistering and as a healer and pain elimination of the burn.
What’s happening: Your skin, quite literally, is being cooked.
What to do:
1. If it’s blistering and you have major Swelling, and pain. see a doctor.
2. Take ibuprofen; chill aloe-Vera in the fridge and apply to cool and soothe the skin.
How to prevent:
1. Try using Sun. Guard, a laundry additive that makes clothing more UV protective.
2. Use sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 and preferably 30 or higher. Reapply every couple of hours.
3. Keep a can of spray sunscreen in your golf or tennis bag.
4. Wear a big hat and. if you can stand it, long sleeves.
