Optimize Health With Good Dental Status

The condition of the mouth actually mirrors the condition of the whole body. So as problems on oral health can give huge havoc to overall health. Recent reports indicate a relationship between gum disease and health problems like stroke, heart disease, oral cancer and the digestive system. In fact, survey says that more than 75 percent of the population is affected by some type of gum disease or gingivitis. To keep the mouth and body healthy, medical doctors and dentists stress a few important steps like: (1) Visiting your dentist every six months for regular screenings and cleanings, (2) Using a good toothpaste and toothbrush that works well in reducing tooth decay, (3) Brushing properly spending at least two-and-a-half minutes brushing your teeth twice a day, and (4) Flossing properly at least once a day.
