Casio Exilim EX-Z200 review and ratings
Hmmm. The outstanding feature of the Casio Exilim EX-Z200 is the fact it is very easy to use. This could be applied to all the Casio digital cameras I have tested recently. Casio give you the option of displaying some of the key features on the right hand side of the LCD screen. These help to remind you of the selections you have made. It is also easy to access and change one of these settings.
The Exilim EX-Z200 is not the greatest digital camera ever made in terms of picture quality. I found the pictures tended to be soft away from the centre for landscape style shots. The macro mode can only focus from 15cm away from the subject so it is not a camera to buy if you are really interested in close up work.
You can buy red, black and silver versions of the Exilim EX-Z200 and you should have no problem slipping this camera into a pocket.
There are an increasing number of pocket cameras with a wide angle lens. One that I think offers a bit better value for money is the Olympus FE-350.
Rating: Below Average
Summary: The Casio Exilim EX-Z200 is easy to use, but aside from that it does not have a lot of points that really reach out and grab me and make me recommend this camera as a must buy. I like the fact it can record movies for widescreen televisions and other features such as easy uploading to YouTube may sound good, but I would prefer better quality still photos.
